FREE SHIPPING Flat iron quality is all about the contents of the plates and the heating elements used. The heating element is responsible for heating up the plate and in most cases the standard of heating element used is medium to poor. The most common being a PTC or Ceramic coated heating element. In a lot of the low end straighteners coil or wire heaters are commonly used. The PTC or Ceramic Coated heaters just don't produce the maximum amount of far infra red heat or get hot enough. This gentle heat penetrates the hair shaft from the inside, with out damaging the out side. The smaller more inefficient heaters don't regulate heat as efficiently, this causes 3 major problems: 1.
